Effective date: October 16, 2026
1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms govern submissions of signup, expression-of-interest, and participation forms associated with the Global Commons Commission (GCOMS). The website and signup process are administered by The Giving Back Fund, 500 Commercial Street, Suite 4R, Boston, MA 02109, United States. By submitting a form, you agree to these Terms. The separate Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled and is not replaced by these Terms.
2. Accurate submissions and authority
You agree to provide accurate information and to submit information only for yourself or where you have the necessary authority to act for an organization or another person. If you identify an organizational affiliation, you confirm that you are authorized to describe that affiliation accurately; submitting a form does not imply that the organization endorses GCOMS.
3. Adult eligibility
The standard signup form is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old. By selecting the age declaration and submitting the form, you confirm that you are 18 or older. Individuals younger than 18 must not submit the standard signup form. GCOMS may decline or remove a submission that does not meet this requirement.
4. Parents, guardians, and other legal representatives
A parent, guardian, or legally authorized representative who wishes to inquire about participation by someone under 18 should contact GCOMS directly rather than entering the minor’s information in the standard signup form. Any such participation is subject to separate review and any required authorization, safeguards, and procedures. If you submit a separate authorized-representative request, you confirm that you have the legal authority to do so. No minor is registered through the standard signup process merely because a parent or guardian submits the form.
5. Meaning of signing up
Signing up expresses interest in receiving information or exploring engagement with GCOMS. It does not itself confer membership, voting rights, formal advisory status, authorization to represent GCOMS, eligibility for funding, or any contractual right to participate in an activity. Separate invitation, acceptance, or written agreements may be required for specific programs or roles.
6. Responsible use
You agree not to submit false, misleading, unlawful, or abusive material; impersonate another person; interfere with the website or its forms; or use contact channels for spam, fraud, or unauthorized solicitation. GCOMS may reject submissions or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect its services and participants.
7. Names, materials, and public statements
Unless separately authorized in writing, signing up does not permit you to use GCOMS names, logos, materials, or branding in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or representation. GCOMS will not treat the act of signing up, by itself, as authorization to publicly list you as a supporter or representative.
8. Availability and changes
GCOMS may modify or discontinue a signup process, event, initiative, or participation opportunity. These Terms may be updated from time to time. The version displayed when you submit a form governs that submission, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Material changes affecting ongoing participation may be communicated where appropriate.
9. Applicable law
These Terms operate subject to mandatory rights and protections under the laws applicable to you. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms or eligibility may be sent to contact@gco.ms or addressed to The Giving Back Fund, 500 Commercial Street, Suite 4R, Boston, MA 02109, United States.
